Calling all Neurodiverse Young People

Right now, far too many of New Zealand’s neurodiverse young people are missing out in our education system and their voices are going unheard. In fact, approximately 10-20% of all young people in New Zealand would be defined as neurodiverse!

The New Zealand Centre for Gifted Education are bringing together 10-15 ‘Young Neurodiversity Champions’ to tell their stories and lobby for change in this coming election year 2023.

As an organisation supporting neurodiverse young people, we’re supporting our friends at NZCGE and backing the rangatahi across Aotearoa to lead from the front and help drive the change they want to see in the education system.

Applications to join as a ‘Young Neurodiversity Champion’ are now open and will run until 2pm on Friday 9 January, 2023. Share this with people you know who could be interested and help us make young people’s voices heard!
